“Beeftro is a co-project of Monaco restaurant group and the owners of Moscow restaurants Il Forno, Limoncino and Fornetto. The place copies the style of French bistros of 1930s. The menu is arranged around steaks. Steaks here are made from organic American Black Angus Prime beef. Apart from typical types of steaks, Beeftro offers French steak Bavette and La Tagliata that is served cut in bands similar to Italian pasta – tagliatelle. As a side dish to a steak Beeftro recommends mashed potatoes with different flavors – truffle, mint, wasabi, smoked Mexican pepper and so on. The most interesting in the wine list are home-made draft wines divided into three categories: First Class, Business Class and Tourist Class.”

“Aiming to bridge the gap between laidback bistro dining and steakhouse meaty goodness,Beeftro has nudged its way in with a relaxed restaurant that also serves top steaks. The ‘1930s retro’ look is bright, clean and oh-so stylish and steers well-clear of the usual macho steakhouse clichés. The staff, who are trussed up in trilbys and braces, are another plus point - friendly, efficient and well-versed in the intricacies of the menu. The beef is corn-fed organic US black Angus and is very well-prepared and mouthwateringly good and goes particularly well in their excellent burger and the selection of sauces are winners.”

« Perfectly seared Black Angus steaks …burgers and sauces so good you might be tempted to bathe in them.
That said, Beeftro’s version may be the best I’ve had in the city.
The meat was bordering on great.
It gives customers something they can crave : excellent beef, simple preparations, and uncommonly good toppings.
Nothing that French about it, but why should there be ? I’m too busy licking my finger to care. »

[...] The capital is full of restaurants with expensive hamburgers. Few are as homey and relaxed as Beeftro [...] The thing that is going to bring you there is the atmosphere [...] by Catherine Blanchard
